This is a comedy fantasy about an awkward girl, Jenna, (Jennifer Garner) who is picked on by her classmates. She wants to grow up and not go through this stage of her life.
On her 13th birthday she invites some of her so-called friends over for a party. They get Jenna to go into the closet to play the 7-minute game with one of the boys. Jenna is waiting for him to come into the closet and kiss her, but they leave the party. She makes a wish to become popular and 30. She wakes up the next day 17-years older, beautiful, a successful magazine editor, and living in New York. She cannot remember the past 17-years, so she contacts her best friend (Mark Ruffalo) who lived next door. He brings her up to speed about her life. Jenna discovers that she wants her old life back and tries to get it.
