Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH, publisher of the acclaimed PES (Pro Evolution Soccer) 2009, has unveiled a special football skills challenge for all budding football stars on the game’s official website.
Overseen by professional football freestyler Billy Wingrove, visitors to www.pesunites.com are invited to upload videos of their best flicks, tricks and skills, with regular prizes given to the very best. Wingrove is widely regarded as one of the world’s most skilled freestylers and has toured the world, giving demonstrations of his incredible abilities in football grounds and on TV shows. Now, he has thrown down the gauntlet to PES and football fans around the world, with new videos from other freestylers across the globe being uploaded on a regular basis.
As of now, anyone is free to upload their own footage for the public to vote on. Exclusive prizes are waiting for the clip with the highest number of votes. Entering is simplicity itself, but two people must appear in the clip, keeping in line with the theme that ‘PES unites’.
PES 2009 is available now for PLAYSTATION3, Xbox 360 and PC-DVD. PlayStation 2 and PSP (PlayStationPortable) will be released soon, and will be followed by a Wii version in autumn 2009.
